Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “ Joni is a solid conservative leader with an impressive record of fighting for the Tea Party values of limited government and economic freedom. She has worked across the aisle to find commonsense solutions to the problems facing Iowa while holding government accountable for its failures.

“Joni has spent her entire life in public service, from serving for 23 years in the Army and National Guard to representing Iowans in Des Moines and Washington. As a state senator, she was a tireless advocate for lower taxes and economic growth, even helping to pass the largest tax cut in Iowa’s history and working to turn a $900 million budget deficit into a $1 billion budget surplus. Joni has continued fighting for taxpayers in the U.S. Senate, where she supported President Trump’s tax cuts and regulatory reforms that put millions of dollars back into the pockets of hardworking families and gave us the greatest economy in history.

“With the Democrats pushing hard to steal control of the Senate away from conservatives, it is absolutely critical to re-elect every conservative Senator. If Chuck Schumer and the far left take control of the Senate, the results will be disastrous. New Supreme Court vacancies will be filled by activist liberals, left wing pet projects like the Green New Deal and Medicare for All will be one step closer to reality, and tax and regulatory reform that stimulates the economy will go by the wayside. In short, the Great American Recovery will be over before it really gets going. Joni Ernst will fight the leftist assault on the values we hold dear and work to restore American prosperity,” Russo concluded.
