SACRAMENTO, CA: Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of Rep. Chip Roy for Congress in Texas’ 21st Congressional District.
Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “In this important election that will determine our country’s direction for years to come, it is crucial to send committed Tea Party conservatives like Chip Roy back to Congress. In addition to Chip’s experience as a federal prosecutor, he has served in key capacities for the some of the strongest conservative leaders in Texas, including Governor Rick Perry and Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, for whom he served as chief of staff. He has earned the trust and confidence of Texas leaders throughout his career.
“We have worked with Chip in some crucial battles in Washington to bring the federal government back under control. That’s why leading Tea Party Members of Congress have come out strongly in support of Chip’s re- election; Tea Party Senators Ted Cruz and Rand Paul have endorsed Chip because of his stellar record of standing up for limited constitutional government and individual liberty. Early voting begins tomorrow in Texas, and we encourage voters to get out and vote for Chip Roy.
