Sacramento, CA: Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest grassroots Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of Senator Rand Paul for re-election to the United States Senate from the State of Kentucky.
Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “As a United States Senator, Rand Paul has been a consistent defender of our Constitution and a fierce deficit hawk against the fiscal irresponsibility and massive spending bills flooding out of Congress. At the same time, he has been one of the most attentive Senators to his home state by spending frequent time in Kentucky and being responsive to the needs of his constituents.
“Rand Paul was part of the initial Tea Party tidal wave that shook Washington, D.C. to its core and forever changed the way politics operates. While establishment politicians in both parties were used to ‘politics as usual’ and enjoyed the comfort of playing political games to preserve the status quo, Rand was the conservative outsider who reversed the course and brought to light the political shenanigans taking place behind closed doors. He exposed the truth about the severity of our spending crisis and the destruction it has inflicted on our nation.
“As politicians in both parties continue to vote for tax hikes and gleefully go on spending sprees with taxpayer funds, Rand has been one of the few voices voting no.
