Tea Party Express to Make Missouri U.S. Senate Endorsement

Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest tea party political action committee, will be announcing its fifth U.S. Senate endorsement in Missouri this Thursday and Friday. The announcement tour will stop in St. Louis and Springfield on Thursday and in Kansas City on Friday.

The Chairman of the Tea Party Express Amy Kremer said, “One of Tea Party Express’ top priorities in 2012 is to elect a conservative majority to the U.S. Senate, and we are excited to make this endorsement in Missouri as we work to defeat Senator Claire McCaskill.

“It is no wonder Senator McCaskill was among the first senators to endorse President Barack Obama in 2008 – his big government big spending ambitions are mirrored by McCaskill. Americans are tired of watching the federal government tax away their jobs and spend away their futures. Senator McCaskill has voted to expand the federal government, stifle job growth and pile more debt onto the backs of our kids.

“We must get serious about reining in the size, cost, and intrusiveness of the federal government. Sen. McCaskill has a hard enough time paying her own taxes, let alone reforming the tax code and implementing pro-growth policies that encourage investment and return us back on a path to prosperity.

“We have identified a true Tea Party candidate in Missouri, and we are excited for our endorsement tour this week,” Kremer concluded.

The Tea Party Express has already endorsed four senate candidates for the 2012 election cycle: Attorney General Jon Bruning in Nebraska, State Treasurer Richard Mourdock in Indiana, former Solicitor General Ted Cruz in Texas and State Treasurer Josh Mandel in Ohio.
