Tea Party Express Endorses Rep. Tom McClintock for Congress in CA-4

Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is proud to announce its endorsement of Congressman Tom McClintock for reelection to California’s 4th Congressional District.

Tea Party Express Executive Director Taylor Budowich said, “Since taking office in 2008, Congressman McClintock has proven to be the gold standard when it comes to protecting the values and interests of Northern California. As a strict constitutionalist, he has been a strong defender of protecting the rights of all Americans under the Constitution.

“McClintock has been a leader in fighting to secure a reliable water supply for California.  He understands that while we cannot force rain out of Mother Nature, we can make responsible decisions to ensure our communities are protected from drought. He has promoted more water storage, including the expansion of Shasta Dam and the building of the Auburn Dam. In addition to supplying needed water supplies, the Auburn Dam would be an important element in flood protection for the entire Sacramento region.  Those projects would allow Northern California to save our resources for dry years, while also producing needed hydroelectric energy for our communities.

“McClintock has also been a steadfast advocate for reforming our broken and convoluted tax code. He understands that we can grow our economy if we make taxes fairer, flatter and less burdensome on the American people. That’s why it comes as no surprise that the nation’s largest taxpayers’ group, the National Taxpayers Union, has recently named Congressman McClintock as the single best vote for taxpayers in the entire House of Representatives.

“California’s 4th District has a strong advocate in Washington, D.C.- someone that understands the community and puts conservative principles to work. That’s exactly why we need Congressman McClintock to be returned to Washington on November 4th. Tea Party Express is proud to endorse Congressman Tom McClintock for re-election to California’s 4th Congressional District,” Budowich concluded.
