Tea Party Express Endorses Eddie Edwards for Congress in New Hampshire
Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest grassroots Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of Eddie Edwards in New Hampshire’s First Congressional District. Tea Party Express Co-Founder Howard Kaloogian is a resident of New Hampshire and has strongly supported the Edwards campaign.
Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “We were impressed with Eddie Edwards’ dramatic come-from-behind victory in the recent Republican primary despite being outspent. But, he wasn’t out-worked. Eddie has demonstrated that he is willing to work hard to overcome adversity and get the job done for the people of New Hampshire. He had a challenging childhood, where Eddie witnessed firsthand the abuse of his mother at the hands of his father, and from it has learned the value of fighting hard for what you believe, an ideal trait we need in Congress today.
“Eddie became dedicated to serving the people so that others could have the opportunities he had to realize the American dream. He first was inspired to join the United States Navy before he graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, and launching a career in law enforcement. He became the Chief of Police for the town of South Hampton and went on to serve as Chief of the New Hampshire State Division of Liquor Enforcement. He has been deeply involved in addressing the problems of substance abuse that have had devastating effects on so many people. After serving in law enforcement, Eddie became a small business owner and worked with businesses to help reduce regulation and cut through bureaucratic red tape. He well understands the problems that politicians and bureaucrats create when they impose taxes and regulation instead of opportunity to start and grow a business,” Russo concluded.
Kaloogian said, “Eddie has served our country and state with honor and now wants to represent our Tea Party values in Congress as the next representative from New Hampshire’s First District. As someone who has witnessed the ineffectiveness of government from the inside, Eddie is uniquely qualified to go to Washington and fight on behalf of New Hampshire taxpayers for a government that is small, efficient, and transparent.”
