Tea Party Express Endorses Mia Love for U.S. Congress in Utah

Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest grassroots Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of Rep. Mia Love for Congress in Utah’s 4th Congressional District.

Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “Mia Love has the distinguished honor of being the first black female Republican elected to Congress, having served the 4th district since 2015. We were honored to endorse her first campaign for Congress because she stands for the Tea Party values of limited government, lower taxes, and economic freedom, and we are proud to support her in her reelection bid this year.

“As a former Councilwoman and Mayor of Saratoga Springs, Mia Love played a key role in her city’s bustling economic growth by producing balanced budgets and cutting red tape so businesses could foster a growing economy. After four years into her tenure, the city was ranked number one throughout the state in livability and was honored with multiple budgetary awards, including excellence in financial reporting. In Congress, Mia has an equally impressive record of fiscal responsibility. She supported the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, introduced bills to restore local control of education, and supported efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare while protecting seniors’ access to Medicare. She understands the burdens of excessive regulation on job creation, and is a strong supporter of the substantial deregulation that has helped to unleash our vibrant economy.

“The successful economic policies implemented by President Trump and Congress have proven that a bloated, intrusive government is not conducive to a roaring economy or individual liberty. But liberal Democrats like Ben McAdams are salivating at the prospect of stealing control of Congress from conservatives so they can undo those policies and saddle us with more intrusive government, higher taxes, and job-killing regulations. We have seen Democrats like McAdams pretend they will be an independent voice in Washington, but the reality is that they fall right into the lap of Nancy Pelosi and do the bidding for the liberal elitists that run the Democrat Caucus. The last time these liberals controlled the federal government, we had eight years of failed big government programs and anemic economic growth. We cannot allow that to happen again, which is why it is critical to send fiscal conservatives like Mia Love back to Congress next week,” Russo concluded.
