ELECTION ALERT: Tea Party Express Endorses Senator Martha McSally in Arizona

SACRAMENTO, CA: Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of U.S. Senator Martha McSally for reelection in Arizona.
Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “Arizona is shaping up to be a critical state that could determine control of both the White House and the Senate. With our struggling economy primed for a robust recovery and the makeup of the Supreme Court at stake, conservatives cannot afford to take the Grand Canyon State for granted. Senator Martha McSally is a consistent voice for conservative priorities like limited government, border security and economic freedom. We proudly support her for reelection and encourage voters to cast their votes for her in November.
“Senator McSally is a decorated veteran and proven leader who has devoted her life to public service. During her 26-year career in the United States Air Force, she was deployed six times to the Middle East, earned a Bronze Star and six air medals, and became the first American woman to fly a fighter jet in combat and to command a fighter squadron. After retiring from the Air Force, Martha’s passion for public service led her to Congress, where she has fought to keep Americans safe and slash the onerous taxes and regulations that hinder our economy. Appointed to fill the seat of retiring Senator John Kyl, Senator McSally has continued working to change the culture of dysfunction in Washington, reduce out-of-control federal spending, and bring more jobs to Arizona.
“This race is the most critical of all the Senate contests this year. Since it is a special election, the winner will be sworn into office as soon as the votes are certified, instead of in January. Therefore, the winner could be the deciding vote on President Trump’s nominee to succeed the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court before the current session of Congress ends. This is one vote conservatives cannot afford to lose, as Mark Kelly has said that the President and Senate should not fulfill their constitutional duty to fill the vacancy until after the election. It is shameful that Kelly and his party would put partisan political games above the Constitution for the sole purpose of stealing a Supreme Court seat and giving it to an activist liberal. A vote for Senator McSally is a vote for the honor, integrity, and adherence to the Constitution that Arizonans expect from their elected leaders,” Russo concluded.
