SACRAMENTO, CA: Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of Senator Thom Tillis for reelection in North Carolina.
Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “With North Carolina poised to determine who controls the White House, Senate, and Supreme Court, the stakes could not be higher in this election. Senator Tillis has been a staunch advocate for lower taxes, smaller government, and economic freedom in both Raleigh and Washington, and he is a key vote to confirm President Trump’s nominee to replace the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
“Senator Tillis’ life is a testament to the power of the American Dream. Through hard work and faith, he worked his way from an impoverished childhood to a successful career in business. Throughout his time in public service, both as a North Carolina State Representative and a U.S. Senator, he has worked to remove government-imposed barriers to the kind of success he has enjoyed. As Speaker of the State House of Representatives, he led successful efforts to reduce state income and gas taxes and abolish the estate tax. And in the Senate, he joined with fellow conservatives to pass President Trump’s historic tax relief for families and entrepreneurs and eliminate job-killing regulations. That’s the sort of leadership that will bring jobs back to North Carolina and bring federal government spending under control.
