SACRAMENTO, CA: Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of Rep. French Hill for Congress in Arkansas’ Second Congressional District.
Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “During his three terms in Congress, French Hill has been a staunch proponent of the Tea Party values of limited government, lower taxes, and economic freedom. We must re-elect strong Tea Party conservatives like Hill to combat liberal efforts to grossly expand government and undermine our economic recovery.
“As the Majority Whip on the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services, French Hill has fought diligently to fix our broken tax code, untangle local community banks from oppressive and unnecessary government over- regulation, and get government off the backs of hardworking Arkansans. He has been a vocal proponent of getting the federal government’s fiscal house in order by co-sponsoring two versions of balanced budget amendments to the U.S. Constitution and working to expose some of the most outrageous wasteful government spending in Washington. COVID-19 devastated our economy and exploded the federal deficit, and French understands that it will take responsible fiscal and economic policies to get America back to work and bring spending under control.
“The Democrats are spending millions in out-of-state dollars trying to defeat French Hill because he has been such an effective representative for the Second District. French voted for the Trump tax cuts that put more money in the pockets of Arkansans and led to record low unemployment, but Joyce Elliott supports raising taxes to fund more big government programs like single payer socialist healthcare, even as she refused to pay her own taxes in two separate states. She would simply be another vote in Congress for Nancy Pelosi and the far left, not Arkansas values. That would mean higher taxes, fewer economic opportunities, and more government intrusion into our daily lives. To get America back to work and Washington back on track, we need to send conservative and effective leaders like French Hill back to Congress next Tuesday,” Russo concluded.
