Tea Party Express Endorses Michael Cloud for U.S. Congress in Texas
Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of Michael Cloud for U.S. House in Texas’ Twenty Seventh Congressional District.
Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “When the voters sent Donald Trump to the White House, they made it clear that they were fed up with the Washington establishment and wanted an outsider to tackle the problems they refuse to solve. That’s why Tea Party Express is excited to endorse Michael Cloud, a courageous conservative outsider who will join with President Trump and Tea Party conservatives in Congress to take on the political insiders and entrenched special interests. He has been able to rally conservatives throughout the district to his campaign, and we are proud to join in supporting this strong conservative.
“Michael Cloud is a fighter who has spent more than a decade in the trenches fighting for conservative values. As Chair of the Victoria County Republican Party, he led the successful fight to turn the county red and helped elect conservatives to local offices. In Congress, Michael will be a powerful voice for slashing wasteful spending, reducing our mounting debt, simplifying the tax code, and restoring power to the state and local levels where it belongs.
“Although President Trump and Congressional conservatives in the House have made considerable progress in lowering taxes and slashing burdensome federal regulations, the fact remains that the federal government is too large, is too intrusive, and consumes far too much of our hard-earned money. The Washington establishment is more interested in cruising the D.C. cocktail circuit and placating special interest lobbyists than pursuing meaningful fiscal reforms.
