Tea Party Express Endorses Don Bacon for U.S. Congress in Nebraska

Sacramento, CA – Tea Party Express, the nation’s largest grassroots Tea Party political action committee, is pleased to announce its endorsement of Rep. Don Bacon in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District.

Tea Party Express Co-Founder and Chief Strategist Sal Russo said, “Throughout his first term in the House, Congressman and Retired Brigadier General Don Bacon has fought alongside our Tea Party members of Congress to drain the swamp and restore American prosperity. We are excited to stand with Nebraska’s senior Senator Deb Fischer in endorsing Bacon for re-election and commending the great work he has done to put more money in Nebraskans’ pockets and clean up the fiscal mess in Washington.

“Having grown up on a working farm and served nearly thirty years in the U.S. Air Force, Don Bacon understands that hard work and dedication are what it takes to create prosperity and success. Since his election to Congress in 2016, he has been a strong advocate for conservative values and fiscal responsibility. He has sponsored or co-sponsored legislation to lower taxes, slash regulations and bureaucracy, and strengthen our national security, and he carried the Accountability for Congressional Pay Act, which would have reduced Congressional pay in any year in which there is a federal budget deficit.

“President Trump and our Tea Party Congress have made remarkable progress in stimulating the economy by enacting historic tax reforms and reducing regulatory barriers to job creation. But make no mistake, our work is far from over. It is critical that we keep our conservative majority in the House by re-electing conservatives like Don Bacon who will fight to make the Trump tax cuts permanent, fully repeal and replace Obamacare, and finally balance the out-of-control federal budget. If the Democrats are successful in retaking control of Congress, the Tea Party agenda will be crushed under the weight of Democrat obstructionism and political grandstanding. Voters in the Second District know Rep. Bacon is on their side, and we are confident they will send him back to Congress to finish the work conservatives have started,” Russo concluded.
